One of my favorite places in the world is the Dead Sea. It’s one of those places, for me, where a few hours hanging out there in the late afternoon, is like a 3-day vacation. I literally come back to Jerusalem, totally relaxed, refreshed and ready to rock ‘n roll!
I’m telling you this for two reasons. Firstly, I want to gently encourage everyone to find that place, where time seems to stop and we are given a new Breath of Life. You have to just take the time, no excuses. When done on a regular basis (weekly), your life will transform very quickly. I’ve been going down to the Dead Sea pretty much every week for a while now!!
Second reason is the following idea that I would like to carry out. When I first started massage school and was going to lots of Myofascial Release and Craniosacral courses, we would sometimes treat each other in the pool or in the ocean. Both treating and getting treated was absolutely amazing and really cool. The Upledger Institute actually has an intensive therapy program, down in the Bamahas, where you can go and get Craniosacral Therapy in the water but surrounded by dolphins. The dolphins are not fenced in, they come in out of their own will, and help the therapists treat. Or maybe it’s really that the therapists help the dolphins treat.
Anyway, ever since I’ve moved to Israel, I have wanted to treat in the Dead Sea but just never got around to doing it. My idea/offer is the following: I would like to offer treatments at the Dead Sea once a month. I will not be charging for the treatments, but you are welcome to give a donation which will go to a Charity. (If you have an idea for a charity, please let me know) But no one is looking and there’s no pressure. I will also look for other therapists to join in, so more people can get treated.
I have not picked a date yet for August, but it will be sometime after Tisha b’ Av and it will be in the later afternoon, given the heat situation down there!
