A Short Idea about Health

As we are entering summer, I've been contemplating - what exactly is health.  We talk about being health conscious.  What does that mean? Does that mean we eat healthy and exercise? Or is there more to it?

What I've discovered is that health is not an end goal; it is a means for our life's work. In other words, it is a resource to achieve our maximum potential.  We need to be healthy to achieve what we want. We are obligated to take care of ourselves in the best way possible, but get too obsessed with being "healthy." In fact, that would not be healthy at all. 

The main thing is to find a balance with all these different aspects of health....physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. That requires self-reflection and honest evaluation all the time.

And don't forget gratitude!  Make a list of the things you're grateful for and go over them and rewrite it all the time.  Gratitude is like a shot of health.  It can change everything!!!
