How We Deal With Trauma and Why
Humans are intelligent beings capable of convincing ourselves of just about anything. In the case of trauma, our intelligence can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. What we've learned in life provides the tools for how we respond to situations. If someone points a gun at James Bond, he remains cool, calm and collected. On the other hand, I might react differently to that same situation. Dealing with trauma, to a large degree, comes down to how well we prepare ahead of time.
What's happening in our lives also influences how we cope with the stresses and strains of modern life. For example, if we get into a fight with our spouse, run out of the house, drive off and get into an accident, the negative energy that was there before the accident can have an impact on the healing process.
Another factor in dealing with trauma is how we sense our own abilities in the face of danger. This is our level of self-confidence. Do we believe in ourselves enough to cope with the situation?
Let's use our intelligence to our advantage and prevent as much trauma to ourselves and our loved ones as possible. In our world today where so many things are flying at us all the time from every direction, we must prepare our children and ourselves.
We are traumatized to some degree from many different things in our lives. In the next newsletter, I will begin to discuss how to start dissipating that stuck energy and transform ourselves. Remember there's blessing in every challenge we face and we all have the power to face the challenge and come out on top.
